Architectural Design
Architectural Design and Project Management
We have a vast amount of experience providing Lead Architectural Design Consultancy and Project Management in the commercial sector. Specifically in the delivery of new build and refurbishment projects ranging from contract values of £10k to £2 million.
As the lead project consultant our key areas of expertise in both architectural design and project management enable us to effectively coordinate the design team and deliver the project from inception through to completion. We have successfully delivered a wide variety of projects to a range of commercial clients providing innovative design solutions, on budget, and within programme.
We operate a three-step process in the delivery of our projects.
- Client Brief
The first stage is to meet with the client to identify their core requirements for their premises. We then tap into the knowledge of the premises team to analyse the following areas:
- Health & Safety, safeguarding requirements
- The current condition of the premises
- Sufficiency of the current premises
- Any required expansion projects
- The client’s wish-list
Having secured detailed information we then prioritise the site’s project requirements.
- Project Delivery
Post-funding, we deliver projects in the following way:
- Confirmation of client brief
- Development of concept design
- Appointment of the Design Team
- Submission of Planning applications (if required)
- Development of detail and technical design
- Preparation of tender documentation
- Appointment of contractor, creating the contract and beginning works
- Management of the works to handover at practical completion
- Management of the defects liability period
- Dedicated Project Management Service
We have a detailed understanding of the safeguarding required on commercial premises, including the health & safety issues, and general operational constraints that construction works can cause.
To keep disruption to a minimum we provide a Project Management Service to continually review and inspect all live projects, consisting of:
- Safeguarding of staff in relation to the project works
- Health and Safety compliance of construction works on site
- Health and Safety compliance
- Monitoring progress and programme risk
- Monitoring cost risk
- Overseeing quality and workmanship
- A weekly site progress report to monitor project risk
Typically we assist clients with the following project works:
